My father was a classic photographer with a darkroom in the house and the works. I was fascinated with his work and sometimes, I was given the opportunity to watch him as he worked inside his darkroom.
Much has changed in Photography over the years. Now, we have the ability to shoot 1000 images and pick the 100 we like. Still, the art is in both the skill of the model and the eye of the photographer.
I consider myself fortunate in this respect as those I have worked with love my eye. I have been also fortunate that most of the models I have worked with have had experience and I did not need much in the way of direction.
Starting photography in 2008, I jumped in as fast as I could. I started working with a couple models but I also branched out quick to event photography (MMA, gatherings, etc.) and weddings. That last one being the most stressful. ;) I also took the opportunity to attend a workshop by the photography great, Scott Church (if you have not seen his work, I encourage you to look him up.) and learned some pointers from one of the leaders in the industry. All in all, I am a well rounded photographer.
That brings me to MM. Why am I here? The answer is simple. It is time to expand my circle. I will say that I would consider myself an enthusiast or hobbyist in photography, not a "professional" photographer in the sense that, while I have done paid jobs, I still have a full time job and photography is on the side.
I am looking to network with other photographers and more importantly, models. I am hoping to do some TFP shoots (etc.) so that I expand my portfolio while the model does also.
Please feel free to message me any questions you may have.
