Hi, Dale Hodder here.... I have been a wardrobe stylist for the past several years, and truly love what I do... its great to wake up in the morning and realize you live what you love... is there anything better??
Dale began his career in fashion retail where he discovered his unique ability to successfully match clients to individual style and creating outfits that inspire. Whether it’s shopping off the peg or working side by side with designers, his end goal is purely satisfaction for his clients.
Dale has dedicated this past year to Veronica Chail (host of Bollywood Blvd) to develop her personal style and solidify her brand. During the course of the year with Veronica, Dale has kept Veronica ahead of the style curve, and striving to maintain her top spot as the best dress person at every event she has attended, including 2011’s IIFA awards which hit North American soil for the first time ever attracting people from Hollywood to Bollywood. Hillary Swank said “You have the best dress here, who’s your stylist?”
Over the course of his career Dale has worked in creating style for people in a large array of areas within the commercial fashion industry. Credits include contributions as lead stylist, fashion columnist, fashion choreographer, contributing fashion director with noted publications such as Anokhi Magazine, Blink Toronto and Snap. In addition, he has worked alongside musical artists K’Naan, Colin MacDonald (The Trews), AJ McLean (Backstreet Boys) Brian Melo (Canadian Idol) and Diego Gomes (YTV’s The Next Star).
From print to the big screen, Dale has provided wardrobe for films such as “The Only” a short film produced by Jennifer Kassabian and Aaron Kopff, which lead Dale to his first film acting credit in the new full feature film called “The Deadly Game” directed by Verneka Hall Jackson.
Dale says “ What keeps me going is the thrill of trying something new, and seeing the first smile of a client after they’ve had their first style adjustment with him, their joy is my joy”. Dale also makes sure he gives back to the community by doing style chats for large associations like the North American Association of Asian Professionals (NAAAP) and has received several awards for his community service.
Despite Dale’s continued and growing success within the commercial fashion world, his true joy is working one-on-one with clients. He strives to help others discover their own personal style, connecting them with proper pieces, designs and colours all the while encouraging them to break new fashion ground and to be more daring. The end result: clients who are not just fashion forward and well put-together, but who exude self-confidence and just feel awesome.
