About MeHey Everyone!
I'm Catherine Villadelgado, CatV for short. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines and decided to move here in Melbourne, Australia for brighter opportunities and growth as a well-rounded performing artist.
My background consists mainly in the field of Dance. I've studied Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Latin Dance, Ballroom, Hip-Hop, Broadway, a tiny bit of classical Ballet, Silk dance, Web Aerial and other harness experiences.
My other talents would be acting and singing as I've done indie films in Hong Kong (Strawberry Cliff with Singer/Actor EASON CHAN) plus chorus parts in the Philippine Theatre scene (Gabriela: The First Philippine Oratory Musical).
With Modelling, my earliest would be at the age of 7 as my mom was part of the Philippine garments industry. I started doing children's ramp for a good 2 years for shows G'Bop Expose in the late 80's with mostly the classic Filipino models and celebrities. Left the modelling scene at age 9 to focus more on Children's Theatre then went back to it again at age 14 to take another shot for ramp under the collaboration show of Pepe Jeans London and DISU Boutique (Manila Show 1998) with the famous JOEY MEAD (Asia's Next Top Model Judge/Mentor) as my teacher/director. Although my height may not scream for Super Ramp Model but I'd definitely give you one heck of a great show! For print ads, I've modelled for famous Filipino photographer Jun de Leon as part of his Epson Printer Ad Exhibit back in 2004-2005 with Billboard and Tarpaulin postings around in EDSA and Makati City, Philippines.
My other interesting work background consisted of working as a theatre performer in Hong Kong Disneyland in one of the longest running theatre shows, The Golden Mickeys show. I was able to be part of the closing cast and played the role of the Disney princess warrior, Mulan.
Now, I am currently back to studying as I bagged a scholarship in Musical Theatre under Jason Coleman's school, and currently open for freelance projects in dancing, singing, acting, modelling and a whole lot more.
I am deeply grateful and honoured for all these experiences and wishing open arms from all of you for more innovative projects to come.
Looking forward to collaborate, create, impart and inspire wonderful works of art as we simply and truly breathe this as our soul's nourishment. :)
