I'm still working on figuring out the modeling industry ins and outs, but I'm definitely interested in getting my feet wet and enjoying the process. Just to forewarn: as a graduating biomedical science major, creating time can sometimes be an issue, so your understanding is greatly appreciated!
Athletics are a major aspect and source of gratification in my life! As a gymnast (15yrs and counting), having ran varsity track (hurdles and pole vault) and been a varsity cheerleader in high school, with now a passion for skateboarding (3yrs), being adventurous and trying out new things is a rush for me; it's definitely a part of my personality.
I also have a healthy artistic flair: sketch work, wood work, painting, inking, multi-media, graphics, and ceramics/sculpting... you name it, I've probably made it and loved it.
However, I do have experience with a lot of my own photography. I'm interested and inspired by artsy photography or anything conceptual, especially working new angles and perspectives...
I actually change my look often, so I'm not opposed to coloring my hair or switching styles; from grunge/rocker, punk/skater, sweet/innocent, my friends insist I have enviable versatility. I'm also willing to travel around Texas within reason... I am working towards paid shoots but TF is always welcome to diversify my portfolio with shots taken by someone OTHER than myself (ReflectiveShadows);D.

CASTING for PILOT
Now casting for a model for a mock poster/magazine cover for the pilot episode of a new drama for FX. The show is about a fictional magazine called “Lick” (also the name of the show). Within the context of the show, the magazine is described as Interview Magazine meets Maxim. It is meant to be very risqué but with a grit to it. The pilot episode centers around the unintentional hiring of an under-age model for a nude photo shoot.
Seeking: an unknown model who can look 16 or 26 to be photographed for the cover of the magazine that will be used within the episode. Other shots will probably be used as well as props. There is no acting required. The model will not be in any scenes in the episode- only her images, however, she will be listed in the credits. Please be realistic about your age- do not submit yourself if are outside of this age range. Also- no models under 18. Frankly, the producers would prefer to hire someone over 21 who can play teens, however, 18-20 will be
considered. Pay is AFTRA scale but the model needn’t be a member of AFTRA. The producers of the pilot really want to “push the envelope.” See other FX shows such as “Nip/Tuck” and “Rescue Me” for an idea of what they mean by “push the envelope.” The model should have an aggressive nature- part of the storyline involves “something inappropriate happening
between the model and the staff photographer.” Must be comfortable with nudity within the context of the shoot itself- the final shots used will fall somewhere in between PG-13 and R.
A brief test shoot for the job may be considered for models who show promise but do not have any portfolio images that are close enough to what producers are looking for. TESTS ARE UNPAID however, IF a model tests, she can probably have some images from the session. Final say for who gets cast is solely up to the producers of the pilot. DO NOT SUBMIT AFTER FRIDAY, MARCH 1st! Unless, of course, the show gets picked up- then another 20 (or so) models will be needed to fill out the season.
