Paul Cezanne said "Art without passion isn't art at all." I feel that no truer words have been spoken. I consider myself an artist. Photography is my medium. I do mostly digital imaging but I still dabble in film and darkroom processing. I love alternative process imaging. All of the film that I develop is in a process called Caffenol, using instant coffee and a few other household items to make a developer. The results are awesome. I'm also planning a next to impossible project to build a large format view camera this winter. I am most interested in shooting the nude figure. I work with male and female models equally. I am not interested in creating sexual images. The playboyesque shots are beautiful, but they simply are not what drives me. I love to incorporate the nude figure in the wild landscape. I like to combine the natural shapes of the body with the nature shapes of the wilderness. It shows the vulnerability of the human body while allowing the beauty of the figure to shine through. My goal is to create images that are unique. I have shot my fair share of infinity white backgrounds and railroad tracks. Now I want to move into a new direction. I want every image I take to make the viewer stop and think about the feelings in the shot. I want to show the model as a human being and not as a object within the frame. I only shoot TFP. In the beginning I wanted to make photography my career, but in doing so, I lost sight of the art. I have a career and I love it. Now I can focus on photography as a way of life and not a means to pay the bills. If you like my work and are interested in collaborating, send me a message or feel free to text me or call. ***I am not longer shooting studio work. My wife passed away last year after a long battle with illness. I am now living in a smaller home that doesn't have studio space. I am open to location shoots and have all my lighting equipment in my new home. I love working outdoors and especially love abandoned buildings and lesser know locations. Beauty can be found everywhere. The is a photo to be found in any situation.
