MegYen had grown up in an artistically gifted family, yet was the only one who actually pursued a creative career path. Her first love was for stylish clothing, and she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. Then a year after moving to So.Cal, MegYen realized her true passion wasn't creating garments for the runway, instead it was making up the faces of the models who wore them. Even as a child, MegYen enjoyed sketching the faces of others. Little did she know that her talent would evolve into "painting" them later in life. MegYen invested into her education and studied at the prestigious Empire Academy of Makeup, and completed her courses by June'04. During 2007, she received further training in cosmetology/hair school to to earn her official license in January of 2008. MegYen has recently relocated to Dallas in 2008 and continues to pursue a career in Print, TV, and film.
