The Summer OMG is coming up soon (Saturday, July 12th). Since you previously stated your interest in attending, here's a note with a few reminders:
We'll be at the ‘Cruises Only’ building located near the intersection of Colonial Dr (50) and N Mills Ave. The event is in the blue building attached to the 5 story building. Check this profile’s photos for an aerial map.
Bring your book or portfolio, with your name on it! Showing others your work is a great way to break the ice and introduce yourself and your work.
Bring a lawn chair, chair, couch, beanbag as seating in the building will be limited considering the number of attendees we expect (well over 100) and the fact that it is unfinished interior space.
We will have areas set up to shoot and areas where you can set up to shoot… lighting will be limited so if you have your own gear it is recommended you bring it to shoot with.
Alcohol is not allowed in the building.
If you want to shoot that day, I highly suggest going through the list of attendees and contacting parties with whom you'd like to work and scheduling a shoot time or two.

The OMG is coming up soon (Sunday, April 20). Since you previously stated your interest in attending, here's a note with a few reminders:
We'll be at Wekiwa Springs State Park from 8am to sunset. The park will, if it gets too full, make temporary closures based on the park's capacity, so getting there early will ensure that won't be a problem for you. I expect that the busiest times for the park will be in the middle of the day.

Bring bug spray!
This is a cookout, so come prepared to eat and share. Whether you bring something to throw on the grill, chips, fruit, dessert, soda or a side dish, it's all about the potluck!

Bring a cooler, particularly if you're bringing a food item that should be kept chilled until time to eat.

OMG! We're just a little over a month away from the SUNDAY, APRIL 20TH ORLANDO MEET & GREET at WEKIWA SPRINGS STATE PARK in Longwood.
We're going to be out there from 8 a.m. to sunset in the Live Oak pavilion. On top of networking and shooting, we'll be grilling up and having a bit of a good old fashioned pot luck, so feel free to bring a little something to share.

The Orlando Meet and Greet is finally set in stone!
We're meeting this Saturday, January 26th starting at Lake Lily Park, 701 Lake Lily Dr., Maitland, FL 32751 at 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for shooting, and then we will then be adjourning to stuff our faces and relax and get to know each other better at Tolla's Italian Cafe from 6-8, located at 240 N. Pennsylvania Avenue Winter Park, FL It's on Pennsylvania just off Morse, 3 or 4 blocks from 17-92.
Also, if you have some old costumes/clothing/shoes, etc that you'd like the swap out, bring it on over. Several of the models and photographers are ditching items from their wardrobes and are looking to do some trading.
Please keep in mind that if you attend the shoot at Lake Lily ALL ATTENDEES MUST sign a waiver. This is due to the fact that we are not an official organization and do not have insurance for the event. So, please see myself, George Lue or James (SLE Photo) upon arriving.

ORLANDO MEET AND GREET
On October 20, local models, photographers and stylists are getting together to meet and mingle.
WHERE?
From 12 to 4 we have reserved the use of Tolla's Italian Cafe, 240 N. Pennsylvania Avenue
Winter Park, FL 32789 (www.tollasitalianrestaurant.com). Located near Winter Park Villiage. Eat, drink and network. Additional parking across the street.
For those who would like to shoot, not only does Winter Park have some nice public areas, but we have also reserved the use of the Maitland Art Center, 231 W. Packwood Ave., Maitland, FL 32751 (http://www.maitlandartcenter.org). The Maitland Art Center is right up the street from Lake Lily, which may also be utilized for shoots.
ALL ARRANGEMENTS for shoots/releases/what have you are the EXCLUSIVE RESPONSIBILITY of the people involved!

Hello Top Models~!
Avant-Garde (AG), Couture Fashion Event would like to address a widely concerned matter regarding our upcoming open call 5-6 May.
On our flyer it states, $20.00 Application Fee. What this "fee" is associated with is the overall commitment to the models casted and the models not casted alike. Below are the individual areas in which we will be utilizing the "fees" paid by the models.
1. AG personnel will be generating a "model database" for upcoming events and photo-shoots, fittings, casting etc. in the future we plan notifying models via this database. (if applicable to the model(s))
2. AG will be providing models with a extensive photo-shoot (including hair/makeup/wardrobe) FREE; in which the models will be given a picture disc (1 each).
3. Utilizing the images from the photo-shoot, AG will place those pics on our advertising flyers/ marketing media for the night of the event. FACE TIME is PRIMETIME!!!
4. AG will also be using the image for our 10x15 ft runway backdrops (3) in addition to our 24x36 in posters for the evening of the event.
5. AG will be placing the model's head-shots and stats in our Full color event program for ALL in attendance to see: Agencies, photographers, designers, enthusiasts etc.
6. Lastly, we have invited ( and they have RSVP'd) top agencies from up and down the east coast to be in attendance as well as Tampa-local agencies and mgt. companies. Models casted as well as models not casted have an opportunity to be recognized and possibly signed by the agency(s) that best fit them. Ford (NY) Ford (Ft Lauderdale), Irene Marie (Miami), John Robert Powers, Benz, Alexa (Tampa) etc. etc.
So, the $20.00 fee is quite nominal considering the amount of effort that has gone into creating an environment that is to assist and help the models in general. We hope to have ceased the confusion and put to rest the questions concerning our upcoming casting call. AVANT-GARDE 2007 IS THE EVENT THAT IS CATAPULTING THE CENTRAL FLORIDA AREA with high fashion and couture. If you desire to be one of those who took part in that movement, we encourage you to be apart of this fashion-changing event!!!
In closing we would like to disclose that Avant-Garde, Couture Fashion Event is a FL-State Fictitious-Name and Tax-registered company. We are a legitimate company and deal in integrity and character!
