Award winning photographer and filmmaker with studios in DC and Brussels. Hero is Orson Welles as you might infer from headshot. I'm attracted to photography that manipulates reality in some way or captures reality at a moment of exception. I've done a bit of everything from headshots for actors, to fashion shots for national print ads to fetish shots for film festivals. I'm primarily a commercial photographer. A filmmaker at heart, my photography is most inspired by the work of folks like Gregory Crewdson, Susan Blackmon and Jeff Wall.

Generally speaking the rule on paid shoots is that the person who needs the pictures pays so I pay for commercial and fine art shoots and models generally pay for portfolio shoots and headshots. If a model has a great look or referral, I've done "test shoots" and given away some images with the "trade" generally being that the model volunteers for a fine art shoot down the road since there's nothing I really need for my portfolio. I've done some mentoring for models and photographers both here and in London and I'm always willing to talk, time permitting. I'll also be teaching some lighting classes in the fall so stay tuned.
