My name is Ana Teresa Galizes, and I am a wedding photographer based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. I've had a camera attached to my hand since I was 11-years-old. Photography is not just a business to me, it is a method of self-expression. I have formal education in journalism and in traditional visual arts, so my work is influenced by those two elements.

This photography business was a long time in the making. I was urged to start working as a professional photographer when I was still in high school. When I was 19, I went to work in a photography studio where I learned the business behind the art. Today, I hold a B.A. in Communication from Peace College, and an M.S. in Communication from NC State University. I believe in communicating through images, and that is what I do to document the special moments in my clients' lives.

Galizes Photos is where photojournalism meets fine art. I approach each photoshoot individually, so that each one is fresh and unique. You will not find Photoshop gimmicks here, nor do I make trite images that everyone else has already made. I believe in the honesty and simplicity of photojournalism. My work is timeless and professional.

When I'm not doing photography, I like to travel or be in the front row of a rock concert.
