For a "hobbyist" you do some flipping great work! You underestimate your talent, I think. Moreover, your work is full of honesty and you are very present in it which shows that your subjects trust you. That's an accomplishment in itself. Your photos demonstrate the portrait as a mirror of you and a record of a moment of connection.
