My primary interest when working with a model is the nude form in various kinds of available light. Available light is any light source that happens to be available and appropriate at the time, such as studio lights now and then.
An ideal shoot would be in two parts, an afternoon part out in my (private and secluded) woods, a break to review what we've done and to plan the dusk and after dark work, and usually enough time for a snack or dinner (I can do vegan, though I'm not). Then some more work after dark, with colored lights and perhaps fire, usually also outside. If you have the time, we'll download the images to a big screen computer and review them right after the shoot. Otherwise, I'll have something for you within a few days, though a complete edit may take a few weeks.
I do have a studio and will work there when the weather makes outside work impractical. I can also shoot on location if you have a particular place in mind that is not too far away. I've listed Columbia, Missouri as my location, though I am actually about 20 minutes south of there.
I want to capture spirit and emotion; and a story or hint of a story, not just a nude body. A photoshoot is a collaboration between the model and the photographer.
I've started a blog on my nude work at
