The key isn't really the UV paint (it is important). The key is LOTS and LOTS and LOTS (and even more) UV light. I use 8 40watt UV fluorescent bulbs (UV fluorescent is the only way to go), and even that is just barely enough. And, that's with the lights right up next to the models.

I've used lots of different UV paints...Latex is expensive and smells terrible, but works the best. I've had good luck with acrylics (they're less expensive, go on well, and don't make the models gag), but you have to shoot fast, they eventually start to flake. The shoot you commented on was an acrylic set.

Have just graduated from Professional Photography, I soon realized that the journey was just starting in my exploration and creation using a camera. I see several pieces in your port that stand out from the rest. They gave me pause, causing me to ponder. Great!

Hey man, good to hear from ya. I have not been shooting long at all. Maybe two years. It probably shows, lol. That is why Im here though, to get more experience. Im really impressed with your port. For using natural light some of your color is friggin awesome. Im envious. I love natural light as you noticed which is why I shoot a lot of outdoor stuff. Ive used studio lighting and its cool but I feel like Im challenging myself more by using natural. Good luck with the strobes and school. Id love to hear about your experience with it. And keep taking those great photos. You're really on your way.
