My photography background was founded upon the sports and nature genres, which I believe gives me a unique feel. I am used to dealing with whatever environment is present. I have no fear in hiking to a nice location or getting dirty for a good shot. Now I'm exploring working with human subjects. I primarily shoot outdoors or in natural light.
A person's comfort level is very important to me. First and foremost, just due to basic human respect and decency. Besides, if a subject is feeling uneasy about anything, it will show in the photographs.
Typically I don't like to over-Photoshop my images. But it depends upon the project. Other than level adjustments, I never did anything to my journalistic photography. I want my photographs to have an authentic feel to them.
