I have a degree in photography with an emphasis in advertising. And this portfolio has absolutely nothing to do with that. :)

This portfolio represents an independent divergent body of work from my day to day advertising photography.

This project began in the summer of 2008. It is all shot on location coast-to-coast in motels/hotels. I appreciate the timelessness of cheap motels, the sterile and boring aesthetic of mid-level hotels, the challenge of shooting in unfamiliar places with unfriendly room colors, and restrictive space. I like the intimacy of the confined space and the unique expressions and personality that the settings evoke from each model I work with.

I prefer to shoot this project with the models in lingerie, implied nude, or nude. HOWEVER, I do not limit wardrobe to these. I’m open to shooting in any style or clothing that a model is comfortable in. I respect the models time, boundaries, and personality. From me you can expect professionalism, efficiency, and an easy-going shoot with some spontaneity, each room presents different challenges and opportunity. It all tells a story.
