Teaye, born Tamar Faith in Cincinnati, OH, began her modeling career immediately following her reign as Miss Jr. Cincinnati in 2002-2003. The subsequent years stood as validation to Teaye’s regality, as she quickly became the popular choice for promotional and print bookings.
“It started as something to do to keep my mind off my father.” She explains the difficulty she had coping with the death of her best friend, her dad. “ I didn’t take it seriously at first. Men said that I was sexy—but I didn’t think that meant they thought I was pretty too.” Teaye modeled while completing two bachelor’s degrees, one in Marketing, and the other in Strategy Management, and minored in Fashion. She believes her knowledge of business, marketing, and the world of fashion is what separates her from the next model who might be only interested in the glamour and limelight.
Her work stretches from working alongside performing artists like Lil Wayne to shooting with Maxim Magazine/Bud Light photographers, and serving as the feminine face of the Midwest Street Ryders during this year’s DUB Magazine Car Show Tour.
