About Me

I've been an artist all of my long life, but the vast majority of my work has been industrial as graphics illustrator, technical illustrator and cartoonist.

Got tired of working for somebody else and ventured into creating a greeting card company, which I managed to do with some success using my cartooning and writing skills.

I fell away from art after I had partner problems and then, the internet caused the company to fail after I'd been bought out. I concentrated on developing tactical, weapons mountable instrumentation for several years but came to the conclusion after several family crises that I wanted to concentrate on bringing beauty into this world rather than better ways of eliminating bad guys. This led to my present passion of photographing and drawing beautiful nude women and celebrating the inherent beauty of the nude female form using the most simple of tools...pencils.

I am not attempting any self-actualization or expression...just pure art in my chosen technique of what I call "impressionistic realism"...meaning my drawings are "real" but upon closer inspection it becomes evident they are composed of thousands of pencil marks or hatches...

All of my drawings are derived from photographs that I take of lovely models of my choosing, most of whom are local women. I choose to have total control over almost all of what I create. However, a few pieces of my art are drawn from the works of other photographers with both their permission and the permission of their model.

I do very little specific work for customers, unless I am given full creativity and shoot my own reference photos. Most of my models are local girls and we often work together using a trade agreement...she gets a portrait and I get several photo sessions. I do not work from photos taken by other photographers unless it's a "special" circumstance, and even then, I don't like it.

No website yet, but that's in the works and will be up and running in a month or so
