Born in Queens, NY , now living in Atlanta, GA where she was raised. Talina started her career in entertainment at age 13 by being involved in Theatre with the Teen Drama Team at her church in Atlanta. Performing with the Drama Team opened many doors with access to auditions for film productions in the Atlanta area. After graduating from high school, one of her poems was in a poetry competition in Los Angeles, CA. She and her mother flew to Los Angeles for the poetry competition, and while there, her experience with people in film and the entire atmosphere caused her to fall in love with the film industry. When she returned to Atlanta she started taking classes with Hattie Lemon as her instructor. As a result of taking the class, she landed her first role as a Probation Officer in the movie “Cocaine”. A referral from Hattie to audition for the film “Living with Faith”, by Deidre Thomas, led Talina to one of the leading roles (Tasha Mills) of the film. In the midst of all these great opportunities her family lost nearly everything and eventually her father went blind due to diabetes and could no longer work to provide for the family. She was at a point in her life when her success in the film industry really seemed hopeless. In spite of all she lost, Talina remained positive and kept the faith. She would get filming in whenever she could while also working a full-time job at a local sports bar in Atlanta. Things soon began a turn for Talina. Staying persistent, disciplined, and focused on her goal, Talina has acquired roles on many projects such as Stomp the Yard, BET’s The Monique Show, Sunday’s Best, Shake (Film by Deidre Thomas), C.I.G.A.R (Film by Yahya McClain), No Mo Games (film by Embree Perry),also featured in the new television series “ Templeton Pride,” as Erika Thomas.. It is said, “The sky is the limit”………for Talina, ….It Is Just The Beginning !!
