My real job is rather stressful and challenging, and has become increasingly so over the past several years. I use photography as my creative outlet and stress relief.
Always looking for new ideas, locations and people to shoot with. Message me here, or add me on facebook.
Thank you!!
The story of "Lighthouse Girl"
I had a shoot lined up for this place back in June of '07 on a Sunday afternoon. The model contacted me about an hour before to let me know the weather looked threatening and suggested we should cancel. Since she was there and I was 45 minutes away, I agreed. But since I had never shot, or even visited, this particular beach area, I decided to go on down anyway. One of our cooler lighthouses is located there, so I was playing with the rocks and lighthouse and the dof. This girl was there with her mother and dog, so I asked the mom if she would mind if I included her daughter in some of the pictures (I explained I was just starting out and experimenting with my new camera). She was fine with that - I think the girl was just looking for interesting shells among the rocks. I took about 70 shots total, unposed, just kind of random like this one. I never got her name, and I had no idea if she was even local or a tourist. So she simply became known as "Lighthouse Girl" . . . until someone finally recognized her in this pic and contacted me on Myspace, about a year later. I got in touch with her, turns out she went to a local high school, and we finally did a "real" shoot about a year after that. We shot several more times, and then she moved to Rhode Island about a year ago.
Thanks, Tabitha!!
