My name is Joseph Bates and I'm the creator of Southern Renaissance Pinups. I have a BA in Art from Carson-Newman University, and I have been working with pinups and portraits for the past 4 years, having branched off from other genres of photography.

In my photography, I take the style of classic pinups from the early to mid 20th century and merge it with more modern influences. I strive to bring out the best in every model, working with their own personal style. Each shoot requires individual attention to see what will work best for them. My mission is to have every client leave a photo shoot with a renewed sense of their true beauty.
