/ My Inspiration Tumblr
I don't shoot for pay. I don't shoot to make money. I take photos of people with whom I share a desire to create or explore. It's informal, social, and fun, and on occasion it ends up being impactful and meaningful. I think that's wonderful.
I'm very open minded, and easy enough to get along with. I care less about what my subjects look like and more about their personality and communication.
I like to collaborate and I like the experience of a photo shoot to come out in the resulting photos. I like to have some kind of genuine connection with the people and places I shoot. I like to push limits and grow my soul. What's most beautiful to me is a willingness to be vulnerable. I really like when I'm able to help someone express or explore something that they aren't confident about…I really love seeing people grow.
Please don't send me a travel notice expecting me to hire you.
I have several very close friends who model professionally in a variety of channels and I respect what they do immensely, but I am not looking for people to model for me. I take photos of people who are interested in collaborating to create photographs for intrinsic purposes. It certainly isn't a pitch for everybody, and I'm not cocky enough to think that someone should want to work with me--I'm humbled that so many fantastic models have felt compelled to collaborate with me as is. If the photos I create with someone are able to work in their portfolio that is fantastic, but it isn't a goal of mine.
I say all of this because it's going to paint a lot more realistic picture of what it's like work with me than a list of silly rules, dos and don'ts, and pretentiousness.
