About Me

I just moved to Wheaton, IL; so find me while I'm here.
I get paid to do two things that I love in life: take photos and teach improv.
I'm ridiculously spoiled.

I'm here to meet more models for play (TFP).  Play is what allows me to take chances, try out new ways of lighting, and fail.  Failure is what allows me to get better.  Every great photo that I've taken is rooted in my ability to risk failure.
I love 1940s Hollywood photography, close up portraits, pin-ups, extremely well done nudes, and glamor.

My favorite compliments that I've ever been given about me/my photos:
"Umm..speechless..wonderful."
-Bella, an agent in Toronto, after my client sent her the pictures we took.

"I LOVE YOU!”
-Rachel, client, after I sent her the photos of her

"You have a good lightbedside manner"
-Jady, during a shoot where I photographed her on a bed made of light

"Dang it! my confidence is like...through the roof right now. It's kind of ridiculous how great i feel in my own skin again."
-Sam, after looking at the pictures from our shoot, in a text to me

"Can we be friends?"
-Katie, Headshot client; during the middle of a shoot - after we agreed that we had enough headshots of her - but we both wanted to keep shooting

I get that extreme buzz when someone tells me that my photo is the best picture that anyone ever took of them. Its why I work hard to get great photos.
I'm obscenely fortunate in the sense that I've photographed people who are just now becoming known to the rest of the world. I want to keep up that trend by photographing people who are creative, open, and fun.
I love everything about photography. I swear, I even used to like the smell of film.  Weird, right?
I'm a badass at lighting, and love capturing people's eyes. I started shooting at the age of 18, attended Columbia College for a Bachelor Of Fine Arts Degree in photography and interned at Playboy here in Chicago.
I take the results of making great photos very seriously, but my number one life goal is to have fun.  My worst day of working as a photographer is still better then my best day of doing anything else.  If you don't have fun while shooting with me, I consider the shoot a minor failure.
If you tell me that you want to be my friend because you're having such a good time, or that you don't want anyone else to photograph you?  Yeah.  That.  More of that.

Please feel free to drop me a line here, or contact me at [email protected]

If you're a model, tell me what you think of my work.  If you're not... why are you reading this?  Are you another photographer copying my text?  Stop that.

And no, you don't have to love me.
You don't have to be my friend.
But if we're photographing, I hope like crazy that you're having fun.
Because I always am.
