Photography is a word derived from two Greek roots: photos - "light". . . and graphikos - "writing" . . . thus, "writing with light."
For the most part, I am an opportunist, sometimes managing the light on my subject and capturing (photographing) what appears to me to be the most aesthetically pleasing micro-second; sometime managing my subject to reflect the light I can't control, again (hopefully) capturing the moment.
I choose to shoot primarily the human figure, with primary interest in the defined musculature of athletes. . . slender runner or powerfully muscled bodybulder. . . still or in motion. . . musculature stretched or contracted. . . youthful or mature. . . studio or location.
