Hello, Mayhem!

My name is Melanie, and I'm an aspiring art model and photographer. I shoot exclusively on film, mostly 120mm/medium format on a twin lens camera. I've always loved photography, but just recently picked it up again, and am looking to work with more people on a trade for basis as I hone my technical skills.

I see photography as a powerful and dignifying medium for all people. I seek to expose people's inner light, and I treat this as my mission in life. The more we see of the truth of the human experience, the more naturally and profoundly we align ourselves with its salvation. I believe this is the motive and the goal of the artist. To speak and to be heard. To express the inexpressible facets of the human spirit.

I'm interested in working with anybody who has the courage to be in front of the camera, and who is willing to be patient in receiving images, as I develop, process, and scan all of my own negatives, both in color and b&w. Film has a life of its own, and results may vary :)
