My name is A. J. I've spent the better part of the last 5 years perfecting my craft, and I continue to do so.
I don't believe in taking photographs. I believe in creating images. And while I get my inspiration from many different sources, I keep them as just that: inspiration. Create, don't steal!
Finally, I'll say this about my craft. A "Photographer" isn't just a guy who purchased a camera. A "Photographer" creates images, not just pictures. I believe that, and I live that. And in that same vein, just because you've stood in front of a camera before, doesn't mean you're a "Model!" That doesn't mean I don't completely believe in and encourage those just starting out, but don't overstate who and what you are. Acknowledge it, and grow. Just because you say it, doesn't mean it's true!
I'm a dedicated Canon and Adobe evangelist, and have spent just as much time honing my skills in post work as I have at getting the picture in camera.
Finally I've started moving into the world of film and music video's recently. I've directed a couple of projects and am looking to expand. This doesn't however, mean that I'm giving up on photography. To the contrary, I'm am also starting to redouble my efforts in photography and am begging to expand into new area's.
