Hello.

I am a makeup artist looking for work in and around the state of Connecticut. It is not possible for me to travel out of state right now, but I am willing to see what I can do within New York City or Boston, should the need arise.

The makeup I use is all mineral, a line developed exclusively by DEX; formerly MESS New York; where I was trained one on one with Makeup Artist Darvell Freeman in late September of 2006.

As Part of my training at MESS Cosmetics Studios, I learned how to apply make-up for a wide array of skin types by using both mineral based (for everyday use) and cake (for broadcasting) with specialty brushes. I also learned basic aspects of skin cleansing as it applies to make-up application. I was also trained to work with photographers as part of in-and out-of doors photo shoots.

Along with my education in make-up artistry, I am also an accomplished artist working in various types of media. I am also familiar with the medium of photography, both behind and in front of the lens as a model and photographer; which helps contribute my to my creativity and skill in the field of the visual arts, and its cosmetic counterpart.

The only thing that I am not very good with is hair. Previous models have included their own stylists, and I don't have a problem working along with them.

My portfolio boasts more natural day to evening looks, but I'm more than willing to experiment with Editorial-based looks.

But because of the number of natural looks I have in my portfolio I can no longer do as many trades for natural day to evening looks. I am however willing to negotiate to fit within a price range.

As for any look considered more editorial, which is, anything that would go beyond the norm of traditional day-wear, I am more than happy to to a TFP for.
