I live near West Hollywood, and I love cool location shoots! Definitely need to get outdoors more. I work part-time at a photo studio, and while the shitty pay doesn't give me enough to pay models (sorry - TF only), I do get to use all the toys. Studio space whenever I want, medium format digital cameras, profoto strobes, etc.
Shooting guys is easy, but it's also very boring for me. So I don't do it. I'm most inspired shooting beautiful women, but I have never cared about fashion or avant-garde beauty. I'm experimenting with many different styles right now to see where my artistic voice will naturally develop. Sometimes sexy and seductive, other times fun and flirty, but I always care more about personality and communicating a mood than posing like a mannequin.
Yes, my creative vision often includes casual nudity, so extra attention will go to models who are open to that. I want to create a youthful, liberated universe in my photos, where the people aren't nude to be sexual, but rather because they just didn't feel like putting clothes on. It's their casual attitude and freedom of spirit that makes the pictures sexy, not the nudity.
I need more girls with that "fashion" look in my port, but I'll still work with select glamour and art models on a case-by-case basis. If the model can do her own basic hair and makeup, I can be available to shoot at some point almost every day. Scheduling a full crew for a test is harder, as I have an unpredictable work schedule.
So why shoot with me for free?
Because, unlike some hobbyists with money to burn, I actually know what I'm doing technically. You'll get images you can be proud to show when you stop modeling. I typically deliver awesome professionally retouched images within one-two weeks. And I'll even feed you if you're one of those models that eats
Lastly, and this is most important, I'm super cool (or at least my mom tells me I am), and everyone has a blast on my shoots. Which is really the point, right? To have fun doing what you love? So hit me up. And hit up the models in my port for references. I ain't scurrred!
