In the ever-changing world of media, the ability to take photos with some degree of proficiency is becoming very important. Depending on who they're working for, writers are expected to be able to shoot.
That's how I got started shooting, a little over five years ago and I found I really enjoyed having a new creative outlet. At the time I was working for a golf publishing company. That company has since folded, but I'm still writing for various newspapers and web sites and actually have a golf e-zine of my own.
Joining Model Mayhem has allowed me to meet some very nice people I never would have met otherwise and become more comfortable with a camera shooting real, people in real situations. I've learned things that have helped me shooting golf and the other things I do.
You'll notice a lot of fitness-oriented photos in my port, I seem to have found a certain niche for that but I'm open to other creative concepts, especially a model's.
No matter what I shoot, whether it's golf landscape or a model hitting the heavy bag or even something a little edgier, I'm striving to create images that are tasteful and dignified.
I'm looking forward to exploring additional creative opportunities.
