My name is Alison, I have been a makeup artist for over eight years. After going to art school for animation and realizing that I wanted to do more hands on work and less gazing at computer screens, I started makeup work.
I started out with prosthetics and effects, making people up for Halloween as well as making creature masks for different theater shows. I did some work for student photographers and film makers; this was again mainly in the special makeup area but a little of it required more of a beauty touch. I am now covering all corners of the makeup realm. I still love to work theater and custom costume work but I also work on feature films, short films, weddings, fashion, etc. I have also recently started teaching makeup and theater makeup for various groups around town.
Makeup is my full time job so I do few TFP/CD works, it all depends on my schedule and your project. I am also looking to get as big a variety of looks, and feels as possible for my portfolio so I am always open to hear your ideas. I am always excited by a challenge so, BRING IT ON. I have several days available on short notice for paid gigs but to guarantee my availability I prefer a week or twos notice.
Although I have favorite styles I love working with makeup in any form and am never bored by it.
