I recently relocated to New York (March '08) and I'm looking to continue building my modeling portfolio. I have a lot of experience as a photographer and love photographing modeling, fashion, portraiture. I really want to put my lighting equipment to good use.
I come from a background in journalism, but I love the freedom and control that modeling allows. I am interested in youth, energy, spirit and a real sense of fun in my images. I like both well lit and naturally lit photos using only ambient light. I love clean photos as well as dark and gritty images too. I pretty much am drawn to anything for inspiration as long as it looks good.
If you'd like to hire me, then send me a message about rates. There are instances where I'd consider doing the photos for free if the images will help my portfolio.
Also, I'd be open to doing some modeling, unfortunately, this site doesn't let you put down more than one choice (or if it does, I didn't notice how). I've actually been asked to do it a couple of times before, both for a professionals and photographer friends.

Shawn Lynch lives on the Upper East Side in New York City. His background is photojournalism and editorial photography. Currently he does a lot of architectural photography in New York.
