And I must say this MM server is scary slow …they must make a ton of money loading us up with spyware evidently. Lol!
My friends were astounded that I spent that much on my first camera and lens but I thought I should have bought one much sooner and my first national publication was around three years later.
That first national publication has been over ten years ago and now I have been published around the world. I started out in catalog houses after moving to Dallas and later decided there wasn't much glamour shooting a box of tissue paper but... it payed the bills.
Now doing location photography and inexperienced model portfolios as well. Very reasonable rates, $250 minimum. As for testing specifically for a project I an working on and shoots with paid models, I have been on here a few years and have not had much luck with professional etiquette. So I feel that I must say I will not hire a model I have not tested with or shot with previously. But if I am getting paid you get paid and I should also add, if there is a advertising budget the clients will usually go thru a reputable modeling agency but there are instances when the budget is limited and some on here would be a good fit.
