***After a very long hiatus I am finally looking to line up shoots in Mid-September.***
A few (cheerful!) notes:
1) I never loan or rent any of my vintage costume pieces, sorry. I do have great stuff but I'm not a wardrobe stylist and the majority of my pieces are too valuable. If you would like to buy something you are welcome to check out my website
www.ArchiviaVintage.Com or ask me what I have for sale that isn't listed.
2) I'm not interested in shooting nudes.
....Continued.....
3) If I've expressed interest and we haven't nailed down a date it is only because I am super reliable and careful about commitments because I believe in keeping them. Let's keep in touch.
4) I'm all for reasonable retouching. Go ahead and play up my strong points and edit the haphazard flying hairs or accidental unflattering moments. I keep candids in my portfolio if you want to see the natural me. Even grandma and auntie like to look a little dolled up, know what I mean?
***ART MODEL***
The images in my portfolio are the result of only a few short months of beginner posing, after which I took a break to regather and focus on business and life.
I obviously love vintage, but I am interested in lots of other creative concepts, especially those that have depth and vision.
I'm an artist. I draw and paint and sculpt. I'm always interested in making art, creating, expressing and pushing the limits of an image, and I know the lack and frustration that many times comes hand in hand with that.
I would love to explore:
Art Photography--very creative ideas of all kinds, Classical Biblical Ancient Ethnic and Sacred Imagery, Film Noir/Pulp Fiction, Vintage & Antique Imagery, Old Hollywood and Theatrical Portraiture, Alternative, Costume, Vintage or modern SCIENCE FICTION, Vintage horror, Steampunk, Gothic, Horror, Fetish, Edgy, Rock & Roll, any Artistic Concepts...etc.
Stats and facts:
My schedule is pretty versatile as I own a business and make my own hours/days.
I am very detail oriented and go the extra mile to prepare for a shoot. I can do my own hair and makeup, but would also be interested in working with a really good dependable hair stylist and makeup artist who does vintage...marcel waves, anyone??
Competitively trained swimmer and diver.
Been working in the theater and film business painting backdrops and sets for many years.
Have several tattoos (large: left hip, right back/shoulder, ankle. small: left lower back, left chest) and a navel ring which can’t be removed, but is a small, subtle gauge.
Vintage and Other Clothing:
Besides my 26 year+ vintage clothing collection (I started very young), I also sew and make my own costumes. What is seen in my link above is only a very TINY sampling of what I have. I am constantly adding pieces. Ask, if you are looking for something specific.
The collection has everything (clothing, hats, bags, luggage, jewelry, shoes, sunglasses, gloves, jewelry, etc) from
the Victorian 1800s, the Edwardian 1900s-teens, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. I also have a few pieces from the 60s through the 80s. Both of Western and Eastern Descent (Tribal/Bedouin, Asian) I have a few stage outfits, swimsuits and Hawaiian pieces, as well as a very extensive hat and glove collection.
I have a few costumes that I am always either making or adding to, including wigs and masks that I make and collect and a smattering of fetish wear and corsetry.
a few Props: Vintage Metal Toy Guns, Vintage Embroidered Piano Shawls, Parasols, fans, bamboo fans, masquerade masks, 1950s electric fan, 1950s lighting, 1950s boomerang ashtrays, tons of hat boxes from different eras, some small round carry-cases, a couple of 50s/60s train cases. If it catches my interest I will add to this.
I plan on trying to catalogue or photograph more of these pieces but for now, just ask me what I have.
Here is a 1950s photograph of my Mom!:
