I am looking to work with female models and I shoot both digitally and on film. I'm also a director and moving image is also a possibility.
Amanda Zackem is a Director, Photographer, Cinematographer originally from Buffalo, NY. She began her film and photographic training by mentorship and graduated with a Master’s degree in Illustration Photography and Multimedia from The Newhouse School of Communication at Syracuse University.
Zackem’s photographic work has been shown in both national and international magazines. She has been featured on Elle.com, Pas Un Autre, Clam Magazine, NeverLazy Magazine, Laomono Magazine and Joy Quarterly. She also designed a guitar with her photos as part of the Kaki King Guitar Artwork Project.
She was Producer of the documentary The Trial of the St. Patrick’s Four (’06) and Blind Spot (’08), as well as of the dramatic feature length narrative, Thinly Veiled (‘09). Her short documentary on women’s cycling pioneer Georgena Terry has been accepted into 13 film festivals including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival and the New Media Film Festival. The film won Best Female Directed Short at the Cornwall Film Festival as well as third place in the Lens Culture Magazine Multimedia Awards. Zackem also won Best Cinematography for her short experimental film, The Black Series, at the Women’s Independent Film Festival in West Hollywood.
