David Brege Photography

Thanks for visiting my profile page. I began my professional photography career over twenty-five years ago. A graduate of Center for Creative Studies (now called College for Creative Studies) in Detroit, Michigan, I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in photography in 1987. My early years of photography consisted of working heavily in the entertainment and public relations fields. Shortly after college, my work shifted to the commercial advertising field where I eventually became director of the photography department for a national advertising and production company. Throughout my career, I always considered myself to be a "people photographer". I always enjoyed working with people and feel that this is where my strongest talent lies.

I feel my photographs capture more than just the beauty of each person, they capture the spirit also. I have always felt that what makes an image strong is more than just technical know-how. The image must also bring forth a feeling or emotion from the subject and must evoke a feeling or emotion from the viewer. I specialize in beauty, glamour, casual and fine art portraits. My style and technique is simple, yet elegant. My goal is to exhibit the inner and outer beauty of each subject and to share that beauty with the world.

Occasionally, I work on personal ideas for my portfolio or for self promotion. I do limited TFP shoots to enhance portfolios or just for the fun of it. If you are interested in working with me, please send me a message.

Please do not contact me asking me to hire you. I only hire models if it is for a job and the client is footing the bill. Then, I only hire people I am familiar working with or through an agency. If I contact you asking if you would like to work together, it is because I like your look and think we could create some great images. If you agree to work with me, then I expect professionalism. That means staying in contact and making sure you will be where and when we schedule. If you are not serious and modeling is only a passing fancy for you, then please don’t waste my time.
