As of October 2009 I will be taking a break from shooting to catch up on photo editing. But if you are a really good model I may be willing to drop everything. Definitely looking for good models for Spring 2010.
Now that my portfolio is starting to fill up, I'm going to be looking for models that will do artistic nudes plus other types of shots and will be very selective on my model choices.
Models must be qualified (not interested in every model):
Recent high res. face, profile, & body shot required or personal interview. Meet my subjective reqmts.(pretty, handsome, interesting), male (sorry ladies), at least 18 yrs old (or parent/guardian written permission), not be in an exclusive contract (may work with an agent if reasonable terms).
Models must agree to release form & trust me:
See my model references below. Anything we shoot may end up on this site or similar sites or general public release. You must sign usage release form & allow me to use photo images including for my personal portfolio, on-line portfolio, publications, magazines, photo essay books, calendar, posters, art show exhibits, or other reasonable public release.
Models should understand (read your release form priot to shooting with me). You must explain or negotiate any additional limits with me prior to shooting such as image use limits, payment/compensation terms, type of work you will not do. I'm very open & very happy to discuss your concerns prior to shoot.
Models will get (as much as you put into it):
Paid model fee (on a limited basis) usually at end of every session & free portfolio advice & free electronic copy of best shots with my logo added. No additional compensation is inferred unless otherwise noted. Electronic copies will be about 50% of original resolution with my logo (jpg format good for 8x10 portfolio), color & defect corrected. Can be used for your portfolio or personal use.
I will def. not give out poor images, out of focus, over exposed, unflattering shots to both protect you & me. Model should note that I will always retain Copyright/Publishing/Ownership rights of all photo images that we produce together unless otherwise noted in writing.
Modeling Cash to You the Model (work can be fun):
Varies from $ 30/hour face/fashion to
$100/hour nudes (optional based on models limits, dance belt, draped or not to be discussed before shooting). Possible percent of sales if nude work.
My Work Style (studio & outdoors):
I will expect that our relationship be friendly & full of mutual respect. My shots tend to look/feel like Bruce Weber work but mostly color (black & white is the easy part, ha). I normally shoot digital images w/ my Sony A700 SLR 12 megapixel camera. I have a "no touch" policy (except props, hair, jewelry, etc..) I respect a models limits & boundaries. I may trash shots during our shoot (depending on lighting or other conditions) if out of focus, poorly exposed, or test shot.
