Hello, ModelMayhem!

My name is Dustin Hall and I'm a photographer located in downtown Miami, FL.  I have been interested in and pursued photography for a number of years.  For the most part, I am self-taught - though I have received guidance from fellow photographers along the way. 

My passion and work mostly surrounds women and men with an "alternative" look and lifestyle - be it tattoos, self-modication, wardrobe/hair choices (from goth to steam punk), etc.  I find these groups of people to have a unique character, beauty, and outlook on life that really shines through in photographs.  However, I am not completely adverse to working with models outside of this profile, if they have interesting ideas or are looking for something a little different.

Due to life and all that it brings, as well as the necessity of relocation (I previously lived in Atlanta, GA -- which is where most of my portfolio work was done), my photography has been on hiatus for a couple of years.  I have sorely missed the photography scene, working with models (many of whom I consider to be close friends), and creating beautiful images. 

I am ecstatic to finally be in control of things and have the time and opportunity to dive back into photography.  I am looking for models in South Florida (Miami - Ft. Lauderdale area mostly, though I am willing to travel further for the right model) to work and build a relationship with.  I am currently open for TF* shoots (models must sign a release form).  I have worked with models across the experience spectrum in the past.  While working with more experienced models generally lends itself to more inspiring and innovative work, I don't mind working with the right newbies to help them build their porfolio.

Side note:  Generally speaking, I like to meet with models before our first shoot together.  This gives us a chance to get to know each other, talk over what we're both looking for in more detail, and just generally get more comfortable around each other (which lends itself to a better shoot and better results).  Models are welcome to bring an escort to all shoots, so long as they can remain unobtrusive; my wife will oftentimes be attending shoots to assist with lighting and other details.
