Bekka Bjorke

My camera is a playground–to play with light, play with color, play with shapes. It’s my goal to bring high quality, visual life and excitement to everything from a classical headshot to an edgy new clothing line’s lookbook. My images are bold, surreal, and stimulating. Each shoot is learning experience, a new means to challenge the preconceived notions about what “good” photography is on both sides of the camera.

From landscapes shot from the top of peaks in the Sierra Nevada to headshots in New York City, nothing is more fulfilling and exciting than tackling new creative demands, wherever they might pop up. My love for fashion, glamor, and artistic expression reaches beyond my own work as well, and I am active in teaching new photographers & models, as well as involving myself in the Bay Area’s event scene and charities. That aside, I'm a full time glamor & fashion photographer and mom, and I spend my free time sleeping and laughing at Youtube videos. Sometimes I even like long walks on the beach and poetry.

I've recently relocated from the San Jose area to Oakdale, CA. I am available to shoot once again throughout the Bay Area, but on a limited schedule as I have 2 little boys under 2 years old! Due to my tight schedule I'm only booking paid shoots, no TF*.
