I specialize in low-light and fantasy photography, specifically "faery" photos. In the low-light category I typically capture dancers in the peak of their extensions, leaps and spins. In the faery category I'll capture the subject, place them into a "faery" background (i.e., on flowers, mushrooms, etc), then added wings (and pointy ears, if applicable).
I started out doing these for kids some years back, but have found more and more adults wishing for these photos to the point that they outnumber the kids now. (Proof that we keep our kidsense in some areas... ;^)
If you would like to do a faery shoot you're welcome to ask me for times available up here in the Nevada City / Grass Valley area (about an hour or so NE of Sacramento). Shoots last around an hour or so and run $129 for a CD of the raw images + one image made into a faery, with a 16x20 or 20x30 image printed and shipped to you (see details on www.imythyou.com
). While the image is obviously a fantasy, I delight in making you look as photo-realistic as possible (as if you were a new species documented in National Geographic :^). You can wear whatever you choose as long as it's not see through material (like gauze or "butterfly-net" skirts), otherwise I'll not be able to replace the original background seen through it. I'm not responsible for travel expenses, will ask you to sign a model release form, and will ask for payment in advance.
