My name is Lyric, I’m 20 and live in Chicago , IL . I find comfort in writing poetry, music, modeling, acting, reading and drawing. These things allow me to cope with any predicament or obstacle that may intimidate and distract me throughout my journey. Bi-racially mixed with mainly Black & White and a few other ethnicities. Which shows in my features (Masculine Bone Structure), have a very versatile image. With the length of my hair and how diverse I can look, I can portray a different variety of races. Awaiting that moment were i can prove myself, because good looks don't mean anything until it is exposed & displayed. Seeking to do commercial, lifestyle, high fashion and other things that may be presented & catch my interest. With open palms and extended arms, symbolizing that I welcome change and will embrace every opportunity that presents itself. I will walk this route with a clear conscious and a humble soul, trying not to make irrational decisions. Exposing my potential to the public while being perceived as a Determined, Responsible and UNIQUE Individual. Revealing this passion that burns deep within my rib cage which convinces and motivates me to proceed. I intend to capture the hearts of others with whatever I bring to the table.
I position myself in situations that are beneficial and can assist me in accomplishing greatness. Turning dreams into reality as I ambitiously put forth 110%, adding all the essentials to make progress while exhausting every possibility. I show my Diversity and make all that I have to offer noticeable. Becoming more knowledgeable as I work with those who provide encouragement and guidance. I also intend on grasping attention internationally with a professional attitude and persuasive confidence while approaching the High Fashion World. I plan to travel not just the USA but expanding my horizons & willing to experience new things. I’m fully focused on achieving all that I’m destined to achieve, never losing sight of my vision. I look at life from a positive perspective, opening my eyes and my mind signaling permission for growth. I want to showcase more than just my exterior but exposing what lies beneath. Having an “Anything’s Possible” mentality as doors continue to open and provide pacification to the next level, using that as a constant reminder as I strive for success and exceed expectations. A motto that me and cousin Lola Underwood follow is “Appreciating life as it arises, Learning form my Yesterdays, Setting goals for my Tomorrows, But living for Today!!!”
Nothing completes me more than releasing and highlighting my abilities and gifts. Looking to Network with those who seek the same goals and determination in lyfe!!! Here's a piece of one of my poems called "Eventually";
“Liquid images of pain fill my eyes leaving streaks of wetness
running down to my ears as I lay back & face the ceiling,
I can say “I don’t love you anymore”
but no matter what I say or do I cant seem to erase the feeling.
For along time love has blindfolded me from reality
only seeing what it would let me see,
Now I can’t even operate my feelings because it seems
I’m a prisoner to my own state of mind & it won’t set me free.
I was led astray trying to determine
where the lies stop & the truth begins,
But the trust has disappeared causing great distance between us
making it difficult to even be friends.
So afraid of facing the facts that I’ve become oblivious to the truth
I was told “Stop disregarding possibilities & once you start Believin’ You’ll See…,
That when you make it threw all the difficult times & rainy days
Things always get better Eventually.”
