Amateur, Professional, Commercial, what do such words really mean? Does one ever know the difference? It is certainly amateur if one isn't getting paid for it but it could be commercial if one uses a skill in the service of an occupation.
I use a camera for work but it's not my camera work that pays the bills. Long ago in the military, I learned that part of my value revolves around coming back with a report that my superiors could read and know as if they had actually been there. Part of that ability rests in being able to gather visual data, preferably thru a camera lens.
I'll go just about anywhere one needs to know data about and I do mean about anywhere in that I have underwater photography training.
