I have always been fascinated by the interactions between light and the human form. I photograph female models only, as I appreciate the way light falls on softer forms rather than hard ones. I also seem just to get along better with women - maybe it's the humour - maybe its the style - but when things click - the results are just wonderful.
I also really enjoy the interplay of hair, shadows and tanlines, as they provide a sort of movable tattoo, which can change and evolve over the duration of a shoot.
My newest focus (being currently located in Bermuda) is the ocean. It is a growing factor in my photography. I do a lot of underwater work with freedivers, as the bubbles get in the way if a model is scuba diving. I am a freediver myself, and reach depths of over 100' on one breath - permitting me to explore depths and angles on wildlife and models from fantastic angles.
The diffusion of light, the water colours and scenery - especially with the high visibility of Bermuda permits incredible effects and backlighting. I also know many hidden gems where shoreline and ruins add texture and elements to my photography to highlight the curvature and fashion elements of the subjects.
I am reachable by email and am interested in working with any partners. I am often in Miami, New York and Italy.
