Miss Black Queens New York USA Pageantâs finale will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the elegant Thomasinaâs Banquet Hall located at 205-35 Linden Boulevard, Saint Albans, NY, from 3 pm â 6 pm. Comedian, JP Justice, HBOâs Comic Relief Award recipient and host of the new talk show, âInstigated Talk,â will serve as the master of ceremonies for the pageant.
Open to young African-American women between the ages of 17-27 that are currently living or have lived, worked or attended school within New York State and a citizen of the United States, contestants have a chance to win an official Miss Black Queens New York USA Crown and sash, complimentary professional photo shoot, up to $1000 in cash, goodie bags that will include popular brands such as Expectations Mobile Spa, samples of the lip product sweeping the nation, YOYO Lip Gloss, and high quality, nature-based beauty products from Soul Purpose. The winner will also receive paid entry fees to compete in the Miss Black New York Pageant.
Contestants will face-off in various categories: Personal Interview, Fitness Wear, Talent, and Evening Gown. The winner will compete in the Miss Black New York USA Pageant, with a chance to go on to the national level in the Miss Black USA competition.
