I am a former part time pro-wrestler, and full time admin/bookkeeper. I have recently lost about 60 lbs, and I am feeling healthier & more creative than I have in years.
I have always kicked around various ideas for photos I'd love to see done, and I realized when I signed up for Model Mayhem, I need to step up and have enough guts to be the model for those pictures. The greatest feeling in the world is being able to see my ideas come to life. Thanks to Jon from Wolffoto for assisting me in capturing my ideas, and pushing my creativity to the limits (and being a great pita-pit partner in crime).
Having been a pro-wrestler for 6 years I have realized I may not be the tiniest chick in the world, but I am completely comfortable in my skin (or in clothes, whatever). Because I am an Executive Administrative Assistant, I pride myself on my professionalism. I abhor personal lateness (I try to arrive places at least 15 minutes early) and while I can be EXTREMELY loud (I am a former carnie), I am always open minded to peoples suggestions on how I can improve my skills as a model & my portfolio. I have the bad habit if cursing & smoking far too much, but I will always try to respect other people especially if asked to stop.
The easiest way to get in contact with me to send me a message on here. I can also be messaged on my myspace, but I am on there very infrequently. There are an over abundance of pictures on my MySpace that range from good, to bad, to ugly. www.myspace.com/taramurphy
There are 2 things that I like Photographers to know before shooting with them (out of respect and a dislike of wasting time):
1. I am tattooed & pierced. The piercings can be removed because they are 6 years, and almost a year old. Obviously the tattoos can't, but I'm always willing to cover them up.
2. My hair is about an inch long. I have just ordered a couple wigs in various colors & lengths. I'm also planning on buying a couple over the next few weeks so its not that big a deal, if you have any specific desires for hair length and color. Just let me know & I will get it.
The first time I shoot with you (especially if I have never met you previous to the shoot), unless being shot in a public venue, I prefer to bring someone to accompany me. Legally it is a much safer idea. The person would either be a make-up artist I am very close with, or a female friend. I believe bringing someone I am dating would be HORRIBLE unprofessional and you can rest assured that I would NEVER do that.
