I love having fun in everything I do and photography is no exception. First got into photography sophomore year of high school and loved it ever since. I’m currently attending the University of California, Irvine as a computer science major. Been tinkering with computers since as long as I can remember. Created my first virus when I was in 7th grade and cracked SecuRom version 1 & 2 copy protection during freshman year of high school. So yes, you can definitely say I’m a geek.
Photography and electronics runs in the family, father and uncles all love photography. My first SLR was a Canon AE-1 given to me by Uncle Jimmy. My passion is portrait/glamour and weddings. After attending my first wedding, I was hooked. Loved it. Just a few months after that I shot my first wedding as a secondary shooter and became obsessed. My style of photography is all about capturing the moment. Capturing the moment is what sparked the passion for photography. Video is the way the world is headed but still photos will always hold their power. How often do you or your family look at the video of your wedding? But I bet the formal wedding picture is hanging on the wall somewhere where everyone can enjoy. Do you have pictures of your loved ones in your wallet/purse? I think you can see my point now. Watching a video of Yosemite’s El Capitan, you lose the sense of grandure. Look at a “real” print from an original negative of Ansel Adams’ and the feeling of grandure is not only present but your emotions will be stirred into action.
