(Translation: I have alot of slashes after my name!)
but I felt that the "softness" of the fashion and glamour shoot was cramping my true nature (just a bit...), and felt the need to experiment with minimalist lighting and guerilla shooting styles.....
So, welcome to the "real" me....
Demonatia Anongora (MM#562214) and I run a networking group for those of us that "don't quite fit in" to the mainstream... http://www.meetup.com/AltArt/
If you're in New York city... come check us out!
I'm currently working on a new project: the POLANOIR series.. if you're interested in finding out more and working with me on this, let me know!
I set up this port for my images that don't quite fit into the other molds....stuff that's more influenced by graphic novels and music than photography.
Since I use professional cameras and huge lighting setups for my professional work, I started “hacking” old cameras and lenses and using available light and small flash units to get the looks I was going for.(For those of you interested...I use old Vivitar 283's, 285's, Sunpak 120J's, 611's and 622's with scrims, no softboxes for us here!)
(If you have any old cameras you’re thinking of throwing out.. email me FIRST
looking to shoot TFP/CD for this portfolio and my experiments. I'm not looking to pay models, or get paid for these shoots. If I've sent you a friend request, it means I either want to work with you, like your work or (probably) both!
I test Weds, Thurs, and Sat!
I'm open to artistic and concept shoots, and live event photography (read: I'll shoot your band for the cost of a beer or 2!) in trade for my personal work.
If you're interested in working with me, send me a message and let me know what I can do for you.
I always carry a camera, lighting, and stage blood (don't ask...) with me wherever I go! If you have an idea, send me a message and we'll shoot!
And.. Home Depot and Radio Shack ROCK!!!
There is no substitute for experience, however you can get it. Whatever you need to learn, you need to practice. And if you cannot practice on assignment (for fear you will screw up) the only other way to do it is to experiment!
Evolve or die, that's the one rule of the universe.....
