The hammers and saws are at work building my studio area currently. I intend on doing a limited amount of portrait work open to the public in 2012 and expanding thereafter. Once the current studio space is finished it is my intent to add two others with each offering a different format. I'm a long term committed photographer who's declined to go pro in the past mostly to retain control of what I do until I could build my own setups. I've been acquiring equipment and whatnot for years but 2012 is when the studios are going up.
For young models interested in getting their feet wet or even just getting some cool photos for facebook I will do TFP with just make sure you are timely to our appointments and such. My schedule can vary but generally you will be looking at either evenings or in the morning time. There are times when I am gone out of state shooting stock and so forth but I'm generally around.
I generally work with adult responsible models but it's also been my experience that you can't put an age on maturity as everyone is unique in their own ways. If you are under-18 you will need a parents permission in the form of a signature. Not to fear though I like to encourage young people and don't have a problem meeting with your folks if needed.
All my model agreements are done on iPad nowadays and assuming you spell your email correctly you will get a pdf granting you the right to use the images for promotion or personal use. If you find someone wanting to buy a print just let me know you will be in line for a commission on sales.
I can shoot virtually any format but I'd say I'm primarily a fine arts photographer and painter and that a lot of my work has elements of surrealism in it. A model can easily expect 10-20 images within a day or two of shooting but the more complex images can take time. I suggest using facebook to stay in touch for now mostly so I can find you and share it after I do one of the paintings or renderings that are more complex.
My typical hourly rate for those interested in that depends on the assignment but is in the neighborhood of $100 per hour. If it is a fairly straight forward assignment I sometimes do just quote a set piece price as well. However if you are an aspiring model and short on funds I am sympathetic and time for print is certainly an option.
Credits
My credits are my work. To follow my recent work as I finish it I suggest sending me a friend request on Facebook. Just let me know you are from Model Mayhem in the message area it's fine. Just look up Curtis Clifford Butturff to find me. If we work together I also have a dedicated email for you to reach me at (for models interested in fine arts work) and allow models to text me and so forth.
