-Stageworks on the Hudson, Inc. is an Equity theater located in the heart of the Hudson River Valley. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working under the SPT [small professional theater] contract. Central to our mission is the development of new works. Housed in a 45,000 square foot building with a 100 seat theater at it's core, Stageworks/Hudson draws a diverse and influential audience. We produce four AEA [Equity] Mainstage Productions each season and rent our space to other groups for artistic purposes and the continued development of emerging performing artists and writers. We are also home to rather expansive art gallery where we produce several shows a year and rent the space to artists interested in curating their own shows. visit our web site at: stageworkshudson.org
We are looking to cast Actors / Actresses in both union and non-union appointments. All artists are paid. Contracts generally range from a 4 to 6 week commitment and housing is always provided. Interested Parties should send Headshot/Resume to: Stageworks on the Hudson, Inc.

Stageworks Mainstage produces challenging work, artistically and intellectually of established new plays and original one-acts represented in the ten years of our PLAY BY PLAY festival; Futures is the driving force behind Stageworks’ vision to encourage, support and facilitate the creation of new full-length work; Kidsworks offers children the opportunity to engage in comprehensive theater arts programs based on playwriting; Stageworks Presents a diverse selection of performing artists, companies and the visual arts to complement our own theater menu and works to inform the people who work and live in our community that the arts are an expression of their voice; Under 1 Roof Subsidy Program provides reduced rate or free rental to local theater companies and individual theater artists.
Stageworks/Hudson is dedicated to bringing adventurous theater productions and programs of high artistic quality to the City of Hudson, Columbia County and the Mid-Hudson Valley. Central to our mission is Futures, an integrative program designed to move Stageworks to the forefront of new play development. Stageworks is both the experiment and the resource to infuse the whole life of the theater with a creative process that produces new ways of expressing, interpreting and sharing the human experience.
