My name is Catherine Oshanek and I'm a professional photographer. I pretty much can shoot anything.
I LOVE photography.
White Cedar Photography is my full time business. I have been shooting professionally for about six years now. I have been published across North America.
I have had the chance to travel the world capturing amazing places and people.
I am also a photo shop wizard. I worked for over two years as a digital animator and senior video editor for major Hollywood studios-Disney, Warner Bros, Fox, Paramount etc.
Also, I currently work in the hip-hop industry. I have been a publicist for Royal Krown Entertainment

I went to college for Journalism where I minored in photo-journalism and graduated as the schools valedictorian. Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to take pictures of a plethora of exciting things. I have been a news reporter/photographer, a lifestyles reporter/photographer an entertainment reporter/photographer and a nightclub critic for a column in the Calgary Sun. I have interviewed and photographed everyone from the UFC champ Chuck Liddell to R&B legends Boyz II Men. I was challenged the most when I was a news photographer. During that time I found myself taking pictures of many fatal car accidents.
I am also a certified skin care specialist and make-up artist. This helps me when doing photo shoots as I have a make-up background and can make sure even the smallest detail is taken care of.
