I shoot because I love it. What stirs me is photos that reveal the beauty, style and grace of women, as well as that special inner warmth of the female spirit. The best photos capture both.
The Basics: Who, What, Where? My studio is in Venice, CA, about 10 blocks from the beach. I photograph in the studio and at locations around Los Angeles, from the Disney Hall to the beach to abandoned desert shacks. I’m always seeking models open to my artistic visions for glamour, beauty or semi-nude photos. The Biz End of It. My studio rates are reasonable, especially for models in the early stages of their career. I provide color-corrected web-sized images and high-resolution retouched JPEGs of the quality in my OMP portfolio. Please, inquire via e-mail for rates and details. I’m also open to proposals from models for TFCD sessions—if you have a clear, fresh concept that you can convey to me in a concise e-mail. It will need to be an idea that will benefit both our portfolios.
No Fine Print Here. I start out with simple ground rules to avoid confusion. I’ve had good relationships with all the models I work with and believe that is largely because we observed a few basic principles.
You must be 20 years old and have documents to prove it.
Models must sign my simple, fairly standard model release. I’ll be glad to send it to you in advance.
Following a shoot, I provide you a CD or DVD of low-res JPEG images from the session. These are for your inspection to select the final images that you wish me to work on.
The “inspection proofs” may not be posted to web sites or distributed. The only images that you may distribute to agencies or post to web sites are those on which I have done final retouch and color correction. This provision protects both of us from having our names associated with preliminary, unretouched pictures.
You must pay at least half my fee at the time of the shoot.
