Model, actress, and photographer Serena Star was born on September 13, 1988 in a little town she has come to call Wonderland. Spending most of her youth shut up behind closed doors, she managed to evade the closed minds of the social order and learned to deal with every obstacle that she faced. Being blessed with open-minded parents, she was encouraged to find her own path in life and disregard other negative influences which tried to mold her into society's cookie-cutter image. Enlightened to the prejudice and discrimination that was illustrated everyday, she grew aware of the intolerance she would face and prepared herself emotionally for the persecution she would later ensue. "Wonderland" became to her as Wonderland was to Alice, a nice place to visit - but not to stay. It was a place which enabled her creative and artistic mind to blossom without profuse excruciation but she couldn't prosper either. Alleviated by the tolerance of the underground culture, she opened herself up to many styles including gothic , medieval and renaissance, victorian, vampiric, cyber industrial goth, retro pin up, and many more. At the age of 14/15 she took her first serious interest in photography. She studied everything through the lens of her camera and became passionate about the beauty it brought out in a world she had grown to think was so dull and forlorn. Even Alice at one point had stated, "What is the use of a book... without pictures or Conversations?" The exquisiteness of how the world seemed to change within a photo captivated her and she loved it. Now at the ripe age of 18 she has grown to have a very sweet and sensual yet hot-tempered personality. She enjoys working with others and seizes any opportunity to take her place in the spotlight. Noted for her child-like cheerfulness and Professional attitude, she can portray the ages between 15 and 20, but is very mature when it comes down to her work. In the years to come she hopes to meet more open-minded and creative souls who can overcome the age barrier that currently keeps her from flourishing in her fields of interest. She awaits the day she will be able to express herself without torment and tribulations, and hopes to one day become a known figure in the alternative modeling industry. Serena is one fiery redhead, ready to take on the challenges that are dealt to her as she pursues unveiling her unique individuality.

Please use chapstick several days before the shoot. Make sure your nails are done (doesnt need to be professional just no chipped nail polish please) Buy thick lashes..You can get them from any drug store. Please use a lotion before the shoot on your arms and legs (so we dont have the reptile looking skin) and get good rest the night before. Please Pack several outfits so we can do changes. .. Bring a robe for in between. Bring an Ipod if you have one! If you have your own mascara/foundation and I am doing your makeup, its a lot faster to bring your own! Get a lot of rest the night before!
For Time for Photo, The photos will be sent whenever I finish them without a timeframe. I do not give out originals to TFP models. Paid model photos will be priority to be returned. If I have a lot of shoots going on, it could be several weeks or more before I send you photos.
What you get: Contact sheets of photos from shoot to pick from. 1-2 Images fully edited images per a look, web resolution ( 900x longest side, 72 dpi). Additional edits can be purchased at $50.00 a photo. Think that's high? Try hiring a retoucher. You are lucky if you can find one at 50 an edit. Most charge 75$ an hour. No, I will not give you unretouched images. My job is to present you with the best image you can get. Perfect pores, hair, dress wrinkle free, etc.
I do not allow clients to edit my photos. My photos are my artwork and mine so I will do the editing, thanks.
I do not give out full resolution files. I do not give out CDs... Ever. Would Martha Stewart sell a pillow half sewn? Do not ask, my images are copyright - I don't want to see you selling them. 8x10s start at $50.00 a print and go up in there. I can print any size, Mount them, frame them, make a book for you, etc. Whatever you would like.
*Please allow at least 4-6 weeks for TFP photos to be returned depending on the amount of paid work which is priority to TFP.
Paid shoots will receive images 2-4 weeks-- images can be rushed for a fee. Contact sheets of all images from shoot will be returned 1-3 days from shoot date*
Also, I do not allow Models to sell prints. If you wish to submit a photo to a magazine, you can ask and of course I will say yes, but this is for promotional portfolio use only.
*Photos can be used on models paysite if credit is given to photographer.
