I've been an amateur photographer for several years, and have been trying to "go pro".  Constructive comments on the photos I've posted are welcome, since that's how we learn.

Primary interest is in human nudes, largely because it's what got me into pointing a camera at things in the first place.  Most of what I've produced, however, has been along other lines; I haven't yet found a model other than my wife that is willing and interested in pursuing the same ideas as me.  I don't currently have the wherewithal to pay for sittings - I can readily offer TFP/CD for ideas that interest me, and I will of course take paying work.  :-)

That being said, my interests aren't by any means confined to nudes; I shoot everything from HS senior photos to weddings or baby photos, and anything in between.  I do have some basic rules for shooting any model:

1) My wife is my assistant, makeup artist, cheerleader, and all purpose doer-of-things-I-can't.  She will be accompanying me to any and all shoots I do unless there is a compelling reason not to.  This is as much because I have my own interests at heart as much as the model.

2) I'll want to meet anybody I'm interested in working with in person, usually in a neutral environment, prior to actually doing any work.  I'm a firm believer in the idea that the best photos are a collaboration between the model and photographer.

3) Escorts to shoots are always welcome, provided they either participate (being asked to hold reflectors, for example) or are willing to observe from the sidelines and not interrupt the creative process.  Just to be clear on this - I welcome constructive input, particularly if an escort is willing to take part, but they need to understand that the rules here apply to me, my assistant, and the person/people I'm taking pictures of....if you're on the sidelines, you don't get to object. 

4) I will never ask a model to pose or perform in a manner they find distasteful or that is outside their boundaries, as long as I understand where those boundaries lie.  If you don't want to do something, by all means say so, I won't be offended.
